Biography

Background

Dr. Brian George is a residency-trained optometrist with experience providing comprehensive eye care to a wide range of patients. His clinical interests include routine eye examinations, contact lens fittings and the diagnosis and management of ocular disease.

Dr. George has experience treating dry eye, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration and retinal disorders. He especially enjoys working with patients who have complex vision or ocular health needs and takes a patient-centered approach focused on education, collaboration and individualized care.

He is also passionate about teaching and mentoring future optometrists through clinical education and precepting.

What I am most excited to bring to Simon Eye

I believe in providing compassionate, individualized care and taking the time to ensure every patient fully understands their eye health and treatment options. My goal is to build lasting relationships based on trust, education and open communication so patients feel comfortable and confident in their care. I am excited to bring my experience in comprehensive eye care, ocular disease management and patient education to help members of the community achieve their best possible vision and eye health.

I am from

I am originally from Georgia, where I spent the first 22 years of my life. After graduating from the University of Georgia, I moved to the Chicago suburbs for optometry school before relocating to Philadelphia in 2024 to complete my residency. I have loved living in Philadelphia and look forward to continuing to serve the surrounding community.

You’re most likely to find me

Outside of optometry, I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants and experiencing different cultures through food. I also enjoy reading, attending comedy shows and spending time with my family, especially my nieces and nephews. As a proud Georgia Bulldogs fan, I never miss an opportunity to cheer on the Dawgs.
