Tessa Payne, OD
Tessa Payne, OD, received her BS in vision sciences and Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She was originally from Ft. Myers, FL, and received her undergraduate degree from Stetson University in her home state.
Dr. Payne’s externship experiences focused on ocular disease as well as pediatric and infant vision. She completed her ocular disease training with honors at Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates in Havre de Grace, MD, and Optometric Care Inc. in Aliquippa, PA, where she worked in conjunction with cataract, glaucoma and retinal specialists in both primary and tertiary care settings. She trained at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia in the Pediatric and Infant Vision services, where she received clinical honors. Dr. Payne’s pediatric experience extended to include the diagnosis, treatment and management of binocular, amblyopic and strabismic visual disorders.
Dr. Payne currently resides in Newark, DE, with her husband Dr. Matthew Miller, who is also an optometrist at Simon Eye Associates. She enjoys cooking, reading, hiking and water sports.
