Transitions® Adaptive Lenses for a Seamless Transition
Simon Eye Associates offers Transitions® adaptive lenses that automatically lighten or darken, triggered by changes in the immediate environment. This type of lens is also known as a photochromic lens, light-adaptive lens, or variable tint lens, which are clear indoors and darken automatically when exposed to sunlight.
If you suffer from poor vision, you may previously have had to choose between prescription glasses when indoors and sunglasses when going outside. What an annoyance! Now you can wear one pair of glasses without having to switch off. From Signature to Vantage, we sell and fit patients for a variety of Transitions® adaptive lenses for your convenience.
How does it work? When the glasses are exposed to ultraviolet light, the lenses darken, but as you go back indoors or nightfall descends, the lenses become clear again. Best part is, artificial indoor light does not trigger the darkening effect because they only respond to the short wave lengths in sunlight.
Rely on Simon Eye Associates to provide you with quality eyewear at affordable prices, serving you for 28 years with several Delaware locations.
