The Optometrists at Simon Eye Associates have undergone extensive training in the co-management of laser vision correction. Laser vision correction is a procedure that corrects for nearsightedness (inability to see objects in the distance) by using a Wavefront Laser. The laser procedure lasts only a few minutes and is performed in one of our affiliate laser centers.

First, a Simon Eye Associates doctor sees a patient for a preliminary examination, and an evaluation is done to determine if you are qualified for a laser correction. If you decide to have the procedure, additional tests would be performed. If you have had an eye exam in the past year you would have the option to have a free consultation with one of our surgeons. Your regular Simon Eye doctor would then work with your surgeon on the postoperative visits. Depending on the initial prescription, you would notice visual improvement in the next day or weeks.
