LASIK - Laser vision correction - Simon Eye Associates, Delaware Eye Care

The Optometrists at Simon Eye Associates have undergone extensive training in the co-management of laser vision correction.  Laser vision correction is a procedure that corrects for nearsightedness (inability to see objects in the distance) by using a Wavefront Laser.  The laser procedure lasts only a few minutes and is performed in one of our affiliate laser centers.

A patient would first be seen by a Simon Eye Associates doctor for a preliminary examination.  At that time, an evaluation is done to determine if you are qualified for a laser correction.  If you decide to have the procedure, additional tests would be performed.  You would have the option to have a free consultation with one of our surgeons or you can skip that step and one of our surgeons would see you for your pre - op.   Your regular Simon Eye doctor would then work with your surgeon on the post operative visits.  Depending on the initial prescription you would notice visual improvement the next day or weeks.
